He said that the United States won’t be doing business with Huawei, although that was followed by a statement that it doesn’t mean that “we won’t agree to something if and when we make a trade deal.” It’s hard to pin down exactly what that could and should mean, but it sounds like it’ll see the US using the trade ban as a bargaining chip over trade disputes.
