Perhaps the biggest disappointment is the specs, specifically the processor: it’s powered by a MediaTek A22 chip, which isn’t exactly the fastest option around, but you get what you pay for here. Rounding things out is a 2+16 storage configuration. This really doesn’t cut it in 2019, but there is also a 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage version of this device. It is not the best, but hopefully enough for most people shopping for a device at that budget. Like all other Nokia phones from HMD, the Nokia 2.2 runs Android 9 Pie, and is part of Google’s Android One program, which guarantees two years of OS upgrades (an Android Q update is already promised). It’s available today starting from KES 10,500 in select stores countrywide.
